Congressman Morgan Luttrell has reintroduced the Protecting Military Assets Act in the House of Representatives. The bill aims to impose stricter penalties on illegal aliens who attempt to enter U.S. military bases, making them inadmissible and subject to immediate deportation.
“This isn’t just a security lapse; it’s a national security threat. The previous administration turned a blind eye to our border security, putting everyone and everywhere at risk,” said Congressman Luttrell. “This legislation will send a clear message: threats to our Armed Forces will not be tolerated.”
The legislation was initially prompted by an incident at a Marine Corps base in Virginia, where two individuals attempted to breach the base while posing as Amazon delivery drivers. Upon investigation, both were found to be in the country illegally, with one reportedly on the terrorist watch list.
In December, seven Chinese nationals were apprehended for trying to illegally enter Guam during a missile interception test conducted by the U.S. Missile Defense Agency at Andersen Air Force Base. At least four of these individuals were captured near a military installation, raising concerns about potential espionage activities.
