Congressman Morgan Luttrell of Texas has cast his vote in favor of the House Concurrent Budget Resolution for Fiscal Year 2025. The resolution, known as H. Con. Res. 14, calls on various committees to identify savings and make strategic investments within their areas of oversight.

"This budget resolution delivers real savings while making critical investments where they matter most -- securing our border, supporting our military, and keeping our economy strong," stated Congressman Luttrell. He emphasized that the resolution would prevent tax increases on American families by renewing President Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and reducing unnecessary expenditures. "Texans expect us to lead with fiscal responsibility and national security in mind, and that's exactly what this resolution does," he added.

The approved budget plan aims to achieve at least $1.5 trillion in savings over the next ten years. It designates up to $300 billion for border security and defense efforts, with specific allocations including $100 billion for the Armed Services Committee and $90 billion for the Homeland Security Committee. Furthermore, it seeks to maintain current tax levels by continuing President Trump's tax cuts.
