Congressman Morgan Luttrell has introduced the Specialist Joey Lenz Act of 2025, aiming to enhance health screenings for U.S. troops. The proposed legislation seeks to expand medical tests included in routine health assessments, with the goal of providing more comprehensive and preventive evaluations for service members.

The bill is named after Specialist Joey Lenz from Conroe, Texas, who served in the U.S. Army until his passing on February 1, 2022.

"Our service members dedicate their lives to defend us, and in return, we have a responsibility to ensure their health is protected," stated Congressman Luttrell. "By enhancing routine health assessments, the Specialist Joey Lenz Act honors Specialist Lenz’s legacy and takes a proactive approach to support the well-being of all who serve."
