Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.
The Bridgeland High School football teams won its area round postseason game and advanced to the regional semifinals Dec. 24-26.
In the Class 6A Division II playoff bracket, Bridgeland defeated Spring Dekaney, 47-44, in quadruple overtime on Dec. 17 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium. The Bears advance to the Region II semifinals where they will face Rockwall Heath on Saturday, Dec. 26 at 1 p.m. at Baylor University’s McLane Stadium. Bridgeland is designated as the visiting team.
All tickets are general admission and are available through ticketmaster.com. Prices vary based on the number of tickets purchased. There is a $3 order processing fee added to each purchase, not every ticket. A single ticket purchase is $15.35 plus sales tax, and as more tickets are purchased, the price per ticket reduces due to the $3 order processing fee being applied once regardless of the total number of tickets purchased.
In the Class 6A Division I bracket, Cy-Fair and Jersey Village high schools ended their seasons in the area round.
The Cy-Fair Bobcats were defeated by Katy Tompkins, 51-28, on Dec. 18. They were District 17-6A champions and ended their season as area finalists.
The Jersey Village Falcons were defeated by Fort Bend Ridge Point, 34-21, on Dec. 19. They were 17-6A’s fourth seed and ended their season as area finalists.
