Humble Independent School District issued the following announcement on Aug. 1.
Humble ISD is grateful to have a generous community of supporters who are focused on making sure students start the school year with the supplies they need regardless of where they learn. This year, we are proud to partner with the Lake Houston YMCA and Kroger to conduct school supply drives that benefit Humble ISD students. If you wish to support Humble ISD students, please consider giving through one of the two supply drives listed below:
YMCA Operation Backpack
The YMCA Operation Backpack Initiative helps relieve families of the financial burden to ensure their children start the year off with the supplies they need. You may support this initiative by adding a school kit donation to your cart when you shop at HEB, or by making a tax deductible gift through this link.
KROGER Backpack Boosters
Humble ISD is proud to be a beneficiary district for Kroger Backpack Boosters this year. From July 15 through August 2, you can donate a prepackaged school supply kit for $7, or simply add $2, $5 or $10 dollars at the register in any of our local Kroger stores to help students in Humble ISD.
Another option to help students in need is to make a donation to the Humble ISD Education Foundation. This nonprofit organization supports projects that benefit Humble ISD students and educators, including providing school supplies to those in need. You can make a gift online by going here. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
If you would like assistance in receiving donated school supplies for your child, please call your child's school directly. They will assist you in getting the needed supplies.
