Montgomery County has launched a rental and mortgage assistance program designed to assist residents financially impacted by COVID-19.
“Families have been using all of the resources they can to stay afloat during this time. Many are running out of options if they have not already. This program couldn’t have come at a better time than now,” Grants Coordinator Autumn Edge said in a county news release.
Local nonprofit organizations are providing qualifying residents with up to two months of assistance to be used for rent, mortgage, utilities, and/or prescriptions. Qualifying Montgomery County households may also be eligible for a grant up to $2,500 funded by the CARES Act. This first-come, first-served program is available to families of all incomes.
Applicants can file the application online.
