Cypress-Fairbanks ISD issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.
The CFISD nutrition services department invites students, parents, faculty and community members to sample new products available in school cafeterias during the Annual Food Tasting on Jan. 30, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).
Community members are encouraged to attend and sample various foods made by potential district vendors while providing input on new products available for both school breakfast and lunch.
A young visitor fills out a survey on potential new food items at the Annual Food Tasting event at the Berry Center in February 2019. This year’s event is set for Jan. 30, with more than 15 vendors offering a variety of food items.
More than 15 vendors are expected to participate and offer a variety of food items. The theme of this year’s Annual Food Tasting is centered around the Lone Star State. Various raffle prizes will be held for visitors.
“The food show is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Darin Crawford, CFISD director of nutrition services. “I enjoy having the opportunity to get direct feedback from our students and community members.”
