Pete Sessions, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 17th district, used his social media platform in early September 2025 to address constituents on a range of topics, including Labor Day celebrations and ongoing legislative priorities.

On September 1, Sessions posted a message celebrating workers in his district: “Happy Labor Day, TX-17! Our workforce is strong, supported by the wealth of opportunities for work and training offered through our outstanding schools. You are the backbone of our economy, and I’m proud to celebrate your contributions today.”

The following day, September 2, Sessions urged followers to watch his appearance on national television: “Tune in on @CNN NOW”

Later that morning, he elaborated on his participation in legislative activities: “Congress is back in Washington for legislative business. I began my morning on @CNN to discuss with @JohnBerman what’s ahead this week on the Hill. Oversight will continue pursuing answers in the Epstein files to ensure full transparency and accountability. I look forward to”

Sessions has maintained a consistent presence in Texas politics. In the 2024 general election, he defeated Mark Lorenzen with 66.3% of the vote. He previously secured victories over Mary Jo Woods in 2022 and Rick Kennedy in 2020, reflecting continued support within his district.
