Congressman Pete Sessions announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $1 million to the City of Huntsville for rehabilitation of the N.B. Davidson Wastewater Treatment Plant. The funding was secured through the Appropriations process at Sessions’ request.

According to Sessions, “I am proud to announce that the EPA is awarding $1 million to the City of Huntsville for critical rehabilitation to the N.B. Davidson Wastewater Treatment Plant. This investment will expand water capacity to support Huntsville’s growing population while protecting water quality in Lake Conroe and Elkins Lake. I’m grateful my request worked to secure this funding, which will provide essential infrastructure improvements and strengthen the future of this beautiful community.”

The wastewater plant project aims to increase capacity in response to population growth and maintain water quality standards for nearby lakes.

Pete Sessions has a history of electoral success in his district, winning against Mark Lorenzen in 2024 with 66.3% of the vote, defeating Mary Jo Woods in 2022 with 66.5%, and overcoming Rick Kennedy in 2020 with 55.9%.
