Schools in Walker County enrolled the 52nd highest number of students classified as economically disadvantaged among counties in the state during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.
For the 2023-24 school year, New Waverly Independent School District experienced an increase in enrollment numbers compared to the previous year, with one more student being enrolled.
There were 9,794 students enrolled in Montgomery Independent School District in the 2023-24 school year, an increase over the previous year.
For the 2023-24 school year, Huntsville Independent School District had the same enrollment numbers as the previous year.
For the 2023-24 school year, Texas Online Preparatory High School reported the largest enrollment among Walker County schools.
